Original OEM factory separator for the model RHCS19 SRX series Rainbow vacuum.
This part is very important to the working of the system. It separates the air from the water. It throws the water back into the water pan and allows the air to go up through the motor and out the exhaust.
NOTE: Due to the robust design and increased torque of the SRX motor, it is necessary to be sure the separator nut is tightened properly. Rexair recommends that when placing the separator onto the shaft, use the provided wrench to tighten the separator nut.
All previous models instructed a "finger tight" requirement, so this is a major change to the care and use of the new SRX cleaning system.
UPDATE: To make it easier to install the separator correctly in the field, an enhanced design change has been implemented on the separator and separator nut. The slots have been removed from the shank of the “old separator” to ensure that the separator is seated properly prior to screwing on the nut. A pilot/lead-in has been added to the new separator nut to ensure that the nut is properly aligned before the threads are engaged.
The color of the separator nut has been changed to gray to distinguish it from the old separator nut. These changes will help to ensure that the separator is installed correctly and will also result in increased durability of the separator.

"My sweeper was part of the recall so I decided to update the separator for extra piece of mind. Turns out the machine really needed it. It now runs super quiet and the performance overall has improved. Highly recommend the new separator if yours still has the "old" one with the yellow bolt."

"The process to purchase a part for my Rainbow was quick and easy. The part came within several days and I was very happy for the quick delivery. The price was what I expected, shipping was a little high on such a small and light weight part, however I understand the company can not control this aspect. if I ever need another part I would use this company again."
