This refurbished armature is turned on a lathe with a diamond bit to true up the commutator. In most cases, it will perform like new and comes with a 1-year warranty.
Original OEM factory armature for the D4C SE (Special Edition) model. If you often see your carbon brushes burnt down on one side but not the other, your armature is the problem.
This part works with both the R5124 holders and R5125 carbon brushes.
NOTE: DOES NOT work with the R2700 holders or R2421 brushes.
Effective March 29th, 1993, the R2598 armature assembly was replaced by this improved version for use with the R5124 and R5125 carbon holder and brush kit.

"I was shopping for an R5319 when I found the R2598 and was tagged as NEW. It is not uncommon to see and old part number(r2598) for $105 that has been updated to a new part number (R5319) which cost more money. I chose to buy the R2598 for $105 . What I did receive, was R5319 marked used on the shipping papers . This items is serviceable and worked just fine, but the armature is to thin to accept another turning."
