Original OEM factory carbon brush for the model D3A, D2A, D2, and D Rainbow. This brush is installed through the back of the holder and held in place by a plastic cap that screws into the holder.
* SELECT OPTION: (New Condition Only!) This item needs to be "seated" for proper life expectancy. We use a variable transformer (variac) to seat the brushes. If you are unable, we offer this as an optional service.
If you do not seat the motor brushes, you can expect about a one year life before they wear out.

"The brushes I ordered for my parents' Rainbow Model D were very expensive but worked great. Their vacuum worked like new after I replaced them. I did expect a little more wearing from seating for the extra $10 each though."

Thank you for the feedback. The seating process will not produce a visual wear that is easily noticeable. We can promise that the task was complete as you would be calling in a year upset that your Rainbow stopped running. :)
